Nose reshaping is performed to alter the size and shape of the bridge and tip of the nose. Reshaping is generally done through incisions made inside the nose. It is sometimes necessary to narrow the base of the nose or to reduce the size of the nostrils which involves removing small wedges of skin at the base of the nostrils. The nose is reduced, or sometimes built up, by adjusting its supporting structures which is done either by removing or adding bone and cartilage. Nose reshaping operation takes normally 1 to 2 hours, and it is accomplished under general anesthesia
